How dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus?”. A wiser man said; “All Santa Claus wants is two fat bitches, a bag of weed & two bag of chips to give to the fat bitches”. K'naan is one of my favorite artists of all time. Maybe it's his raw emotion or realness, or simply because he just wants “to tell you what's really crack-a-lacking”. In my opinion, he has two consecutive classic LP's & a third one "Troubador" is scheduled for release this upcoming January, the 13^th to be exact. Until then, here's a little ditty from said album to hold you off. As usual; it's on that philosophic tip. “So what you know about the pirates that terrorize the ocean?”.

I have a huge crush on Lily Allen, so much so I'd impregnate her & actually pay child support. Unsurprisingly, I also fux heavily with her music. One of the reasons is her rebel "fuck you" attitude, & it couldn't be summed up more perfectly by herself on this snare-laden song from her upcoming album (trust me, it's bomb) "It's Not Me, It's You", ready to explode February. On a related note; if you're sane you'd vote "wifey" here.

It pisses me off when artists go off on relatively old music & people ride jock likes they've just discovered the newest thing ever, see M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" for reference. However, when the self-proclaimed "zShare's flagship artists" Old Money rock out to the best sawng of two-thousund-und-seven from Chromeo, off their upcoming project "Scareapeutic" dropping a week from today, I couldn't be less than pleased & getting my MJ on. Shamone bitches!

The clip above is a stop motion, timelapse, motion control in a circular canvas film made for the Discovery Channel in South Africa. The theme; environment. Numerous artists, musicians, animators & painters amongst the likes of Bryan Devlin, Luis Tolosana, Warren Lewis, Ree Treweek, Daniel Ting Chong, Mike Morocco, Toyah Moon Humphreys, Paul Ressel, Josh Ginsburg & more contributed their talent for the cause over a 12 hour non-stop period. The short film was directed & conceptualized by Brian Little of Fly On The Wall. You can watch the making of the film here.

When the original dropped, I was more than slightly disappointed. Admittedly it received burnage, but I always felt it was missing something. Thanks to Travis Barker's crispy banging drumming & rebel rawkstah guitars, the song is now complete.

Format Mag took it upon themselves to recreate 20 "classic" hip-hop album covers using the staple of every kid's toy box; LEGO. The results are incredible. Nothing beats this or this though.
